Throughout March, my team (Evelyn, Abbas, Sharu, and Hechun) and I had the amazing opportunity to provide the UN a recommendation deck to enable more women and girls to increase their digital skills in any developing country.
We chose to target Northern Sri Lanka, and our idea was to create portable sessions to let villagers experiment with tech, and then guide them to stationary hubs where we would teach in-class digital skills. Almost like Costco sampling except with tech and Tuk Tuks!
Unfortunately, our deck didn't get picked to be sent to the UN, but I learned a lot doing this challenge and the experience of this challenge is one of the most valuable things I can takeaway!
I also made a document about best practices to solve real problems with the help of other global TKS students in reflection on this challenge, so go check it out!
