How can education shape a more sustainable, inclusive, and just world? The 11th IRC will explore this through the lens of IEA studies, measuring student learning in key areas like reading (PIRLS), math and science (TIMSS), civic and citizenship education (ICCS), and digital literacy (ICILS). These insights help improve education by considering the impact of teachers, parents, and curricula.

Each day, the conference will begin with a plenary session dedicated to a keynote lecture focusing on one of the conference’s strands. These sessions will dive further into the field of research education, offer new perspectives, and facilitate discussion among the IEA IRC participants.

In advance of the main IRC meeting, IEA offers two-day, on-site workshops on specialized topics related to large-scale assessment from 23–24 June 2025. Registrants can choose from one of the following topics:
