The snails have been quiet all winter. They hunker down in their shells and alter their blood chemistry to act as anti-freeze while they wait for warmer days. It's still pretty wintery 'round here, but we'll all be hanging out on the grass soon. Enjoy the video! I spent much of last summer on the ground capturing these little wonders.
If you haven't had a chance to check out the new album, March of the Mollusk yet, you can listen to it and order a CD or digital download on Bandcamp, you can stream it on Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube (links go directly to the album). Folk radio stations are playing it all over the continent, and I've heard from folks who have enjoyed listening during construction projects, during yoga, while sanding a banjo neck in Australia, during quiet time at school... I love to hear about your listening experiences!
