Pádraig Ó Cuinn hosts this program on 2RRR with interviews with people involved in local & global music. Guests are invited into a virtual 'pub' to sit on 'The High Stool', & discuss music, musical influences, & whatever they like, with their virtual 'bar-person'.
Due to Covid restrictions Patrick is unable to have live guests so he is repeating his interviews with Eric Bogle. In this week's episode they discuss Eric's favourite covers of all the songs he's written! Mary Black, Makem & Clancy, The Fureys! His passion for writing anti-war songs, The Band Played Waltzing Matilda, & some of the criticism he has faced over it. Visiting the graves of fallen soldiers & of course the grave of Private William McBride & what he considers his best anti-war song!
