Please mark your calendars for Vision Sunday on September 29th (at our usual service time - 11:00 a.m.).

This will be a very important and exciting moment for CCLW, and we want as many of us as possible to be there! 

There will be a town hall/Q&A session on 9/29 immediately following the service.

New Teaching Series

On Sunday, September 8th, we began our fall teaching series. We are advertising this series to the community, and we hope you'll join the effort by inviting someone to come with you and see what CCLW is all about. This series is relevant for longtime Christians and for newcomers to the faith. Sometimes our vision of Jesus is out of focus because of assumptions we make, negative church experiences, cultural stereotypes, or a partial knowledge of what the Bible says. In this message series, we will explore some overlooked aspects of Jesus’ life that will challenge our assumptions and deepen our understanding of who He is. We look forward to learning and growing together this fall!

God Has A Cure For Your Worries

Do you feel weighed down with worry? Does the uncertainty and chaos of life keep you up at night? Are irrational fears your constant companion? Could you use some calm?

Trunk or Treat!

CCLW is excited to host another Trunk or Treat! The Family Ministry Committee needs volunteers to decorate their cars/trunks for trick or treaters!

What: Decorate your car/trunk and greet trick or treaters

When: Sunday, October 27 - cars in place by 3:15 with event being from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

Where: Main Parking Lot at CCLW

How: You can use your own creativity to decorate your car or "check out" one of CCLW's trunk or treat kits! In the sign up below, please offer your name next to the kit you'd like to "check out" or you can put your name beside "Decorate My Own."

FOOD ASSISTANCE FOR THE BLESSING BOX

Clover Area Assistance Center (CAAC) prevailed on CCLW to install a mini pantry (Blessing Box) in 2023. The canned goods left in the box are intended for the local homeless as well as families who need help stretching their food supply. CAAC reports that since COVID, they have seen a large uptick in Lake Wylie residents needing food assistance, and that is why we have the Blessing Box on the parking lot side of our church (follow the signs from highway 49).

We need your help. In order to keep this pantry filled with appropriate foodstuffs, we ask that you buy a few extra cans of food (see the separate list) when you are grocery shopping each week. Simply place them directly in the Blessing Box or put them on the table in Room 116. A member of the Missions Committee will do the rest.

Thank you for this ongoing support. Our local community continues to grow and with that growth comes new challenges. Feeding the homeless and helping families are responsibilities in which we can help.
