Ah. If only it were true. Those of you with kids know how lovely those time changes are... (be strong, my failing heart!)
Since you're going to be groggy and useless on Sunday and Monday because of the time change, I have some recommendation for what you can do with your time. These things are consoling and pleasant and don't require too much of you.
Ready? Let's go:
1. I'm premiering a new podcast, "Fantasy for our Time," which goes live on Monday on all podcast players. I'm also premiering the first episode as a video on YouTube. If you want to watch it "live," I'll be hanging out in the chat. We can commiserate on the horrors of time (even though it doesn't exist, naturally).
2.If sitting in a chat is too much work (believe me, I commiserate), perhaps an audiobook is more up your alley? Well, good news! The audiobook for The Throne of the Gods is now available! Here's the audible link, but you can find it at all audiobook retailers.
3. If you're one of those people who really, really love audiobooks but will only buy them when they're over 40 hours long, I have good news for you. I'm doing a relaunch of my Patreon community starting on Monday, and one of the special deals for the relaunch is the complete audiobook of all 5 books of the Raven Son series. I'll be telling you more about this soon, so stay tuned.
4. I have been a little annoyed at how polarizing the reaction to the new Lord of the Rings series announcement has been. So here's something new about Tolkien that isn't about the Rings of Power.
Reader's Nook
I'm reading a collection of essays by Wendell Berry right now, compiled and introduced by the inimitable Paul Kingsnorth. I'm loving every page and reading it very... slowly. Here's The World-Ending Fire for your reading pleasure.
Thanks, as always, for joining me on my writerly adventures!
~Nicky
