Harmonic separators with high transmission are dichroic beamsplitters that reflect one wavelength and transmit the other. The main advantages of a UV harmonic separator are high transmission T>98%@515 nm + T>99%@1030 nm and high LIDT (Laser Induced Damaged Threshold) at reflected 343 nm p-polarized wavelength >0.3 J/cm2
at 200 fs, 100 Hz or >0.7 J/cm2 at 10 ps, 50 kHz. The rear surface of harmonic separators is antireflection coated to minimize back reflections.
