Education resolves problems
The Polytechnic Caxito showed how technical education can provide practical solutions and improve lives. Families displaced by heavy rains in Bengo and in temporary housing were using firewood to cook and this caused a lot of smoke in the city. The school contacted the Dande Municipal Education Office and the Municipal Administration about donating 30 efficient stoves for these families to cook on, to avoid pollution within the city that could cause health problems. They have already handed over 12 stoves, and joined the list of entities or institutions that came together to help those affected by the rains in Bengo. The Municipal Director himself received the stoves and liked this product made by the school's students, commenting that education should be about resolving problems.

National Environment Day
Create, Plant, Protect – a simple message from the women and young people at the Green Viana Project in Luanda to mark National Environment Day. The participants raised awareness about the importance of conservation, reuse, and recycling of natural resources. They also helped make Viana greener, literally, by planting more trees and encouraging others to do the same.

Women's empowerment – mental muscle! |
The AMAR+ project is empowering women, and not only through sessions on gender equality and land rights. The women are gaining mental muscle, thanks to literacy lessons, and to their involvement as equals in the production of participative maps for the Land Delimitation component, as here in the community of Lolo in Quibala, Cuanza Sul.

Experience sharing inspires |
In the project to improve access to water in Cunene, the Kankonda Water & Sanitation Group welcomed members of the group from Tchipeque to a demonstration of the water system and to exchange experiences. They explained the whole process, up to the moment water came gushing out of the taps. This inspired the W&S Group from Tchipeque to keep tracking the activities in their own community until the completion of the water system there.

Bringing citizenship services to the community
The CAPI Project in Balombo Municipality made a huge difference to the lives of 600 more people this month. In collaboration with the Local Administration, they handed over 600 ID cards to people living in remote areas of that municipality, thus guaranteeing access for all citizens to their fundamental rights. The team adopts the simple strategy of traveling to the most distant communities, taking the necessary equipment, documents, and resources to carry out registration and issue identity cards.
