We don't know about you but reading about closures for infrastructure improvements makes our hearts happy! PPFF has been campaigning for these kinds of things for several years now as a result of what's fondly known internally as "the infrastructure report." Thank you for all you do to help us Protect Our Parks and Forests!
I just wanted to mention that the Camping in Pennsylvania state parks, state forests private Book of Faces is a wonderful resource, full of positivity and shared advice and encouragement (and great pictures of campfire food). Because social media can be so challenging, it is always nice to remember that there are positive aspects to it, although at times they are hard to come by.
I am certainly grateful for the endless supply of beautiful photographs I get to excerpt and share here each week!
We are delighted to say that work on the new fully-accessible playground at LIttle Buffalo State Park is underway! The equipment is in and being assembled by park staff (as you can see from the photos below). Also shown is the footprint of the playground itself which will sit on a nifty poured rubber surface to make it wheelchair accessible. Funding is definitely still being sought to finish that up - with many thanks to all who have donated thus far, if you or someone you know might benefit from this really innovative new amenity and you are willing to share the idea, a link for donations can be found at
