Hi ,
Jack here! Whilst Dave enjoys his well deserved time off, I'm going to take you on a journey of all things what's on.
Festival season is upon us and here in Hull we're blessed with all things Freedom. Freedom Festival 2021 ends on the 5th of September, so you've got just one more week to indulge in some homegrown talent!
The Hull music news on everyone's mind is the announcement of Inner City Sesh, a new festival based in Queen's Gardens from the team behind Humber Street Sesh. Inner City Sesh is going to be kicking off in just over two weeks, so make sure you're subscribed to our 'Daily Dose' newsletter to keep up to date with the latest news on the festival.
Staying on music, our man who keeps an ear to the ground, Josh, has found 8 amazing gigs happening in Hull this week including the legendary Tom Jones, and the man who made it to this week's cover, Frank Turner!
As always, we've got some exciting local news, including a new urban playground which is bouncing over to Beverley's Flemingate centre. Plus the council have outlined their five-year vision of economic growth for the city.
I hope this week's newsletter finds you well.
Also, we have plenty of news stories every day now so if you'd like to keep up with it, our new Daily Dose brings you the latest stories every evening by email. Just go to your subscription settings and tick 'Daily Dose of Hull News', then 'Save Changes'.
Enjoy your week, guys!
