The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has announced a Tribal consultation on the President’s Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Budget Request. Tribal Leaders and their designees are invited to provide comments and feedback on the FY 2024 President’s Budget Request for programs and services for Tribal Nations.

USET SPF provided comments to OMB on May 18, 2022 regarding the President’s FY 2023 Budget Request. Among our regional priorities, we advocated for shifting funding for all federal Indian programs and agencies from discretionary to mandatory funding, as well as funding for Tribal Historic Preservation Officers, the White House Council on Native American Affairs, and investing in a Marshall Plan for Indian Country.
