Call for Proposals: Faculty-Directed Education Abroad Program Innovation Fund

A Faculty-Directed Education Abroad Program Innovation Fund has been established that will be used to support (1) the development of unique new faculty-directed Education Abroad programs and (2) the significant revision or redevelopment of existing faculty-directed programs. HeadHealthTECH Helmet Challenge Grant

The National Football League and Football Research, Inc.  have partnered with Duke University’s Clinical and Translational Science Institute to create the HeadHealthTech Challenges, a series of innovation challenges intended to deepen understanding of and advance solutions in the areas of head protection, materials science, and kinematic measurement. ISP Scholarship and Grant Deadline 3/1/2020

Mi Zhang and Ming Yan have been invited to the Facebook Research AI Systems Faculty Summit in Fall 2020.

ECE assistant professor Mi Zhang and CMSE assistant professor Ming Yan were awarded the Facebook Faculty Research Award on Systems for Machine Learning. They are among only 10 winners (out of 167 applications) from 100+ universities in 26 countries. They have received this reward for their research titled: Efficient On-Device Distributed Deep Learning via Importance Sampling.
