We are wrapping up our June topic which is Africa. During the last month we published the following theme related materials:

As you know, every end is the beginning of something new :-)

East Africa Tour (Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda)

We are happy to announce our upcoming tour to East Africa through Tanzania, Burundi and Rwanda taking place in January 2025.

This is an unforgettable 9 day tour (with an optional 4 days to DR Congo) through the heart of East Africa hosted by one of our Envoys - Obed Temba.

During the main part of this trip we are going to visit 5 NomadMania regions and 2 DARE places focusing on a local culture. See the full itinerary here.

App Updates - New Profile Screen

Our tech team has just updated the profile screen in the app.

We made it almost equivalent in functionality to the web version. The only thing missing is the "Add a Friend" feature which is coming next.

You can follow all app updates in this log on NomadMania blog.

Aboubacar Douno - a traveller from Guinea

Meet Aboubacar Douno, a passionate world traveller from Guinea.

He has so far travelled to 75 countries and is fluent in five languages. He is also our Envoy Coordinator while he has built ventures with 54 Startups seeking to build innovative ventures for Africa and the world.

NomadMania: It sounds like your travels have changed you or changed your views of the world. Could you tell us a little bit about that?

Aboubacar: Yeah, definitely. I’m a very open-minded person. I always loved the idea that every country, every part of the world has different ways of doing things. Cultures are different in certain ways. So the more I travel, the more I realise that people have so many ways of doing things. I come from Guinea, a small country where we have really strong traditions. People believe they’re set in their ways, that’s it, you don’t question it.

NomadMania Meeting in Jakarta

NomadMania held its first ever meeting in Indonesia on the 11th of June. It was hosted by Tim AstanduNomadMania Envoy for South East Asia.

This meeting was a great opportunity to introduce NomadMania to local travellers. Hopefully this event will serve as the starting point of a burgeoning NomadMania community in Indonesia, South East Asia, and beyond!

NomadMania at Bansko Nomad Fest

Last week we took part in Bansko Nomad Fest held in Bulgaria; one of the leading events for the digital nomad community.

Our founder Harry Mitsidis, and managing partner Orest Zub both delivered talks on the main stage. There was also a casual meeting of NomadMania members and those who are interested in our work.

Check out a brief report on our Instagram and Facebook pages.

Happy travels :-)

New DARE places

This week we introduce the following DARE places:

* Located along the rugged Jurassic Coast of Dorset, England, the Isle of Portland emerges as a captivating gem in the English Channel. Famous for its stunning limestone cliffs and historic quarries that once provided stone for St. Paul's Cathedral and the United Nations Headquarters, Portland exudes a rich geological and industrial heritage. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking vistas from the windswept coastal paths and unique flora.
