My daughter is in Montana and look what she sent me:

It’s been years since I visited Montana, but I cherish the memories of the wide-open spaces and gorgeous vistas. Here are a few of the pics she’s shared on social media. I hope to show you more when she gets home.

Below is one of my favorite shots because it’s 100-degrees here today and super dry. Reading in the rain! What a novel idea!

Last week’s Q&A was: Have you ever been to Alaska? (That’s our RV destination goal next summer. Fingers crossed.)

Only 10% of those answering have been to Alaska, but nearly every one of you wants to go. And of that ten percent who visited, 99% loved the experience and shared many wonderful hints about traveling there. The only person who didn’t have great memories of Alaska lived there at, she admits, the wrong time in her life. I can honestly say the same thing about the Black Hills. I have many fond memories from when I visited the Hills, but living in a log cabin in the mountains as a young mother with two babies was not a great experience. I felt isolated because there were no sidewalks where I lived, and my nearest family member was twenty miles away. Funny how important your frame of mind is to any experience.

Thanks so much, everyone, for adding to my knowledge. Hopefully, travel will have opened up enough to make a “northern exposure” adventure possible next summer.
