Charlie Ward, Tim Cerio to speak during summer commencement ceremonies Aug. 2

Florida State University will hold its summer commencement ceremonies on Friday, Aug. 2. Distinguished speakers Charlie Ward and Tim Cerio will address the graduates.The day will begin with a doctoral hooding ceremony at 9 a.m., followed by two ceremonies — at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. — for bachelor’s, master’s and specialist degrees. Read more ...

FSU College of Medicine shines in U.S. News rankings for service in shortage areas

The Florida State University College of Medicine ranks No. 12 among public medical schools for having the most graduates who practice in health professional shortage areas, according to the 2024 U.S. News & World Report rankings of U.S. medical schools. FSU also ranks No. 1 in Florida for having the most graduates who practice in health professional shortage areas and No. 17 among all public and private institutions rated in the category. Read more ...

FSU statistician elected Fellow of American Statistical Association

FSU Professor of Statistics Hongyuan Cao was recognized by the American Statistical Association for her research in high-dimensional statistics, longitudinal data analysis and survival analysis, with a strong emphasis on applications in social science, biological science and medical science.
