Are you still not sure, who you want to become when you grow up?

That feeling of uncertainty is a natural part of growth.

Nevertheless, each time I feel like improving the quality of my life, I take a book that can raise a few interesting questions and reframe my perspective.

Recently I was recommended “Designing your life” by Bill Burnett and Dave Evans.

As Maciej, who gave the recommendation, is both crazy about personal growth and very successful, I decided to give it a try.

C.oncept

The majority of companies face one of the two challenges:

1. They are growing sales very fast, but the company structure is to weak to deliver.

2. They became great at delivery, but customers stopped calling.

How to solve this growth/deliver paradox?

Adjust your speed.

1. Slow down to speed up. Stop getting customers by any means. Design a more selective model and design processes (recruitment, delivery). Reject potential deals and use some time to set up your machine.

2. Wake up and understand your growth process. Ask your clients about their needs. Get out of the office. Experiment with new tools and ideas. Talk to people who are successfully growing their companies. Don’t try to hire a new business manager and believe that she will figure it out for you.
