Good afternoon,
The
Boy Scouts of America National Council has announced a $3 membership fee increase
for both youth and adult leaders effective August 1, 2022. We have been
working the past two weeks to set the Connecticut Rivers Council fee so that you have a
clear picture heading into the recruiting and rechartering seasons. That fee
has now been established at $69 for youth members, and will be reduced to $12 for
adult members. A full breakdown is included below. As in year's past, membership
fees will be prorated monthly. For those families who qualify for free or
reduced lunch programs and or Husky benefits, the total fee for 2022 will
remain $24.
For Recruiting During the
Remainder of 2022 The $25 joining fee for all brand-new youth
members is still in effect. Any Scouts currently registered or who have been
registered in Scouting previously are not subject to this fee. We will
absorb the $25 joining fee for families that qualify for free or reduced lunch
and/or Husky benefits, so they will not be assessed that fee. The fee schedule
for the remainder of 2022 for new members is:
July
Youth: $91 (Free/Reduced Lunch $14)
Adult: $36.75
August
Youth: $85 (Free/Reduced Lunch $10)
Adult: $25
September
Youth: $73 (Free/Reduced Lunch $8)
Adult: $20
October
Youth: $61 (Free/Reduced Lunch $6)
Adult: $15
November
Youth: $49 (Free/Reduced Lunch $4)
Adult: $10
December
Youth: $37 (Free/Reduced Lunch $2)
Adult: $5
As a reminder, the fees listed above include
the $25 first-time joining fee. If you are registering a former Scout who
took a break from the program, the fee is $25 less.
If you have any questions related to
membership fees, please don't hesitate to reach out to Assistant Scout Executive Kevin McClelland.
