Someone new!

Greeting everyone!

A few weeks ago I made a BIG announcement on my social media - I just had a baby! I previously kept it completely off social media completely, partially because of the experiences of other folks I follow (Fuller Figure Fuller Bust, Butch Wax Vintage, Jasmine Chiswell, etc) and the truly vile comments they were subject to during their pregnancy journey. I didn't want that kind of stress while gestating.

I have no interest in becoming a "mommy blogger", so I don't plan to talk too much about my pregnancy or postpartum experience on Youtube or my website. I might do a handful of posts in how it relates to my normal topics, like:

• when/how I will be returning to corseting after I heal and my OB gives me the green light
• how my body will have changed and how that affects the fit of my old corsets (I already know that my ribs have widened)
• how my treadmill desk has really helped me stay active, bringing down the SPD pain and prevent edema in 3rd trimester
• how the change in hormones has affected my hair growth

The last reason why I'm mentioning this is because it has affected my response rate re: emails. I have enlisted help of my VA and from family to keep my shop open and business running, but it does take me a little longer to answer emails (perhaps an additional day or two, nothing unreasonable).

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a teensy bit grateful for this past slow month due to the factory lockdown (updates on that below) because it's allowed me to survive the most intense time of my life! But now I'm starting to find a groove, I have help where I need it, and I'm ready to spin some plates.

An update on the TT factory lockdown

In my last newsletter, almost a month ago, I explained that Timeless Trends (one of the brands of corsets I stock in my shop), their manufacturer was closed due to Covid precautions - the factory remained closed for almost two weeks, but then the timing unfortunately collided with Thai New Year where it is a federal holiday (all employees got a mandatory week off work). When it rains it pours!

The good news is this week the building is finally back up and running at full capacity, and quickly catching up on orders! The turnaround time is about 2 weeks for most people, but may be a bit longer for special situations (specific fabrics like the No Line mesh, or large / combined orders).

TT says that they will catch up in the next week or so, so that by the end of April / very early May, the regular turnaround time for the Made-to-Order corsets will be back to their typical ~4-5 days.

Do remember that I have other brands available in my shop, so if you need to receive your corset more quickly, you might be interested in one of the GC or Artemis styles in my shop (if they happen to work with your measurements – feel free to send your measurements and I’ll let you know if either of these will work for you!).
