Strengthening Pakistan–Russia Tech Collaboration
As part of its efforts to foster international industry engagement, P@SHA facilitated a series of Virtual B2B Networking Sessions from 13–15 May, connecting P@SHA member companies with Russian technology firms.
The sessions provided a platform for meaningful discussions on innovation, market opportunities, emerging technology trends, and potential areas of collaboration between companies from both countries. Participants engaged in knowledge sharing, business networking, and exploratory conversations aimed at building strategic partnerships and expanding international business opportunities.
Through initiatives such as these, P@SHA continues to strengthen Pakistan's global technology footprint, enable cross-border collaboration, and create valuable opportunities for member companies to connect with international markets and industry stakeholders.

P@SHA Showcases Pakistan’s Tech Ecosystem at TechEx North America 2026
P@SHA successfully represented Pakistan’s technology sector at TechEx North America 2026, held on 18–19 May 2026 in California, USA. As one of the leading global technology events, TechEx brought together innovators, industry leaders, and decision-makers from around the world to explore advancements in AI, cybersecurity, digital transformation, IoT, and emerging technologies.
Led by Raheel Iqbal (Vice Chairman, P@SHA) and Kheezran Khan (Director Brand & Global Outreach, P@SHA), the delegation actively participated in networking sessions, attended industry-focused conferences including the AI & Big Data Expo, engaged with global technology leaders, and explored the latest innovations showcased by exhibitors.
Throughout the event, the P@SHA Pavilion served as a focal point for promoting Pakistan’s growing technology ecosystem, attracting visitors, potential partners, and industry professionals interested in learning more about the country's IT and ITeS capabilities.
P@SHA’s participation was made possible with the support of its valued partners, including Tech Destination Pakistan, HBL, Ministry of IT & Telecom Pakistan, Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), Pakistan Embassy USA, and Eventage. The event provided a valuable platform to strengthen international connections, showcase Pakistani innovation, and create new opportunities for business growth and global collaboration.

Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives
Meeting on Regulatory Bottlenecks Affecting Ease of Doing Business
On May 14, 2026, P@SHA was invited for a consultative meeting hosted by the Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives with exporters and industrial stakeholders on regulatory bottlenecks, bureaucratic frictions, and delayed processes affecting the ease and cost of doing business. CEC member Mr. Salman Dar represented P@SHA highlighting key challenges facing the IT industry, including tax arbitrage between remote workers and locally employed IT professionals, visa processing delays affecting international market access, and barriers to product localization. The discussion provided an opportunity to share industry recommendations aimed at improving the business environment and enhancing the competitiveness of Pakistan’s IT exports.

Strengthening Pakistan-Türkiye Tech Collaboration
On 19th May, P@SHA CEC Members Salman Dar and Dr. Sonia Saleem had a productive meeting with the delegation of The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) and Turkish software company SANLAB, including Salih Kukrek (Vice Chairman of Turkish Software Council and Founder of SANLAB) and Muhammed Musab Biçer, along with Qurrat ul Ain (Vice President of FPCCI). The meeting was facilitated by the Embassy of Türkiye in Pakistan.
The discussion provided an overview of Pakistan’s IT industry and explored opportunities for mutual collaboration between Pakistan and Türkiye in the tech sectors. It highlighted potential areas of partnership in IT services, software development, and digital innovation, reflecting a shared interest in strengthening bilateral tech engagement.

P@SHA CEC Member Joins GenAI & Blockchain Builders & Investors Meetup in Islamabad
P@SHA CEC member Sonia Saleem was invited to contribute to the GenAI & Blockchain Builders & Investors Meetup in Islamabad — an inspiring gathering of founders, investors, engineers, researchers, and innovators shaping Pakistan’s emerging AI and Web3 ecosystem.
The discussion highlighted a shared belief: the future belongs to builders, and Pakistan’s tech community is ready to lead that transformation.
A key highlight of the event was hearing from Bilal Bin Saqib, who shared valuable insights on Pakistan’s evolving crypto and blockchain landscape. His vision for enabling builder-led innovation and strengthening institutional support for Web3 and digital assets reflects the immense potential Pakistan holds in the global technology economy.

CEC Member Company Signs MoU to Advance Skills Development and Youth Empowerment
P@SHA CEC Member Dr. Sonia Saleem's company, Socio Engineering Technologies (SET), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Citadel Pakistan to strengthen collaboration in skills development, youth empowerment, and talent cultivation initiatives.
The partnership aims to create meaningful opportunities for students by fostering industry-academia linkages, enhancing employability, and supporting the development of future-ready professionals through collaborative training, knowledge-sharing, and capacity-building programs.

CXO Mentorship Program 2026 Commenced
The CXO Mentorship Program 2026 began with the shortlisting and onboarding of experienced CXOs from diverse business areas to serve as mentors. Following the shortlisting process, a series of meetings were held to align expectations, and secure their participation. Once the mentor pool was finalized, mentees were carefully assigned to mentors based on their career interests and professional aspirations. With the mentor-mentee pairings finalized, the program officially commenced in May 2026, creating a platform for industry engagement, knowledge sharing, and professional development.

Meeting at Quaid-i-Azam University
P@SHA held a strategic meeting with the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam University to strengthen the Computer Sciences Department and improve graduate employability by aligning academic programs with industry needs through curriculum updates, certifications, and stronger academia-industry collaboration. The discussion also focused on enhancing students’ soft skills and professional readiness, using industry skills surveys to guide curriculum relevance, and expanding engagement through guest lectures, industry-led lab supervision, stronger BIC Advisory Board representation, and increased internship opportunities to produce industry-ready graduates.

Webinar Explores IP, Copyright, and Patents for Tech Founders
P@SHA’s Startups and Entrepreneurship Committee hosted a webinar on Intellectual Property, Copyright, and Patents, led by Dr. Saima Kanwal, Assistant Controller of Patents at IPO Pakistan. The session covered the fundamentals of intellectual property for tech startups, the importance of patents and copyright protection, and practical approaches to safeguarding innovative products, software, and digital assets. Participants also gained insights into patent filing processes, common pitfalls, and best practices, followed by an interactive Q&A session.
