With the days starting to grow longer, bright skies and new life bursting through the soil now is the perfect time to get outside and enjoy some Mindful Movement in Nature.
So what is Mindful Movement?
Mindful Movement is where you move your body but through doing so pay particular attention to all of your senses, being present in the moment and savouring every aspect. This approach can be applied to so many forms of movement and exercise however it works very effectively though walking in nature and of course supporting you to get back in touch with your joy and sparkle.
What are the benefits of a Mindful Walk?
- The walking aspect is great for gently moving your body and walking is generally suitable for most people (of course there will be some exceptions) but on the whole walking is a great and accessible way of exercising.
- Adding in the Mindful part ( being fully present and immersing yourself in the walk) can help to improve cognition, lower stress, leaving you feeling calm, grounded and boosting your wellbeing.
How can we do this?
