Oct 18-20: Glastonbury Apple Harvest & Music Festival

Glastonbury’s Apple Harvest & Music Festival attracts 23,000+ attendees every October for live music, carnival rides, 100+ craft vendors, food trucks/booths, the Harvest Pub (21+) and the Angry Orchard 5K Road Race. 

Located on the Connecticut River, minutes from downtown Glastonbury, the Apple Harvest & Music Festival has continually been ranked as one of the state’s most popular events.

Oct 11-27: Mystic Seaport Nautical Nightmares

Embark on an adventure through the faerie realm and explore the sinister side of Irish folklore! Experience Nautical Nightmares at the Mystic Seaport Museum.

Mystic Seaport Nautical Nightmares will take place October 11-12, 18-20, and 25-27. Tours will be hosted from 6 to 10 p.m. and leave every 15 minutes.

Oct 19: GOAT Brew & Wine Fest, Hartford

The GOAT Brew & Wine Fest will be held on October 19th from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Hartford Yard Goats Stadium in Hartford. Now introducing G.O.A.T. Brew & Wine Fest at on October 19, 1-4pm. Sample local & regional beers and wines in a festive atmosphere at Dunkin’ Donuts Park! 

Oct 19: Stony Creek Brewery’s Foxtoberfest

Stony Creek Brewery’s Foxtoberfest at Foxwoods will be going all day on October 19th with the best beer, authentic German music, stein hoisting, general Spielereien (shenanigans) and Dummheit (tomfoolery) you could ask for!

Oct 19: Westoberfest in Downtown Westport

Westoberfest is a one-day fall festival in the heart of downtown Westport’s shopping and dining district. This exciting event enters its second year featuring 30+ local and regional New England breweries and over 50 tastings, fun fall family activities, a pop-up market of exciting vendors presented by the Westport Farmers Market, and a vintage car rally.

Oct 18-27: Harwington Halloween Festival

This fall, as the nights draw longer and the cool damp fog settles over the grounds, discover the excitement, fear, and surprises which await. Step on our grounds (if you dare!) for nothing with free parking included. Experience free Hayride shuttles, free admission, the Largest Fall Food Truck Festival in New England, carnival rides, and of course, and The Green Lady’s Haunted House of Horror.

Oct 18-20: Jurassic Quest at the CT Convention Center

Jurassic Quest is America’s largest and most realistic dinosaur event. Guests will walk through the Cretaceous period, the Jurassic Period and The Triassic period and experience for themselves what it was like to be among dinosaurs of all kinds.

Oct 19: Annual New Haven Chalk Art Festival

Enjoy a day of art and entertainment in celebration of the local community in the heart of downtown New Haven and Yale University. The Shops at Yale invites all professional and amateur artists, students, and artist groups to participate in the 4th Annual New Haven Chalk Art Festival. The Shops at Yale will provide exclusive offers to retailers and restaurants, raffles, giveaways and more! This event is FREE and open to the public.

Oct 19: Oktoberfest Cruises, The Maritime Aquarium

The Oktoberfest Cruises at the Maritime Aquarium will be held on October 12th, 19th, and 26th starting at 5 pm and departing by 5:30 pm. These adults-only cruises will showcase two different breweries each Saturday. Sample and enjoy the breweries’ flagship and seasonal products, while taking in the gorgeous sights on Long Island Sound. 

Oct 19-20: Roseland Cottage Fine Arts & Crafts Festival

This annual event is one of the leading juried fine arts and crafts shows in New England. This two-day event features 175 artisans and their wares – jewelry, woodworking, pottery, glass, toys, paintings, clothing, metalwork, and much more. Visitors, many of whom return year after year, enjoy live music, a food court, and first floor tours of Roseland Cottage.

Oct 19-20: Spooktacular Science Weekend

The Connecticut Science Center will get a little spooky and a little kooky for our annual Spooktacular Science Weekend! Have a ball at the ultimate Halloween party including trick-or-treating, pumpkin decorating, Spooky hands-on science, and crafts.

Oct 12-26: Haunted Graveyard at Lake Compounce

The Haunted Graveyard will be held at Lake Compounce on Friday, Saturday, and Sundays from 5 pm until 10 pm, with the exception of October 12th, 19th, and 26th when the Haunted Graveyard will open at 4 pm.

This attraction is rated PG for Pretty Ghoulish and is not intended for small children or adults who may be frightened easily. Kiddie Land is not open during Haunted Graveyard.

Oct 11-26: Graveyard Shift Ghost Tours Hartford

The Graveyard Shift Ghost Tours will be held October 11th and 12th, 17th and 19th, and the 24th through the 26th from 6 pm to 9 pm at the Mark Twain House & Museum in Hartford. Filled with haunted history, dark tales, and Victorian traditions surrounding seances and spiritualism, these nighttime tours are as educational as they are goosebump-inducing. 

Oct 11-27: Trail of Terror in the Forsaken Forest

The Trail of Terror will take place on October 11th - 27th in the Forsaken Forest. The Trail resides on four appalling acres of forsaken forest in Wallingford, Connecticut.

Oct 4-26: Rails to the Darkside Windsor

Rails to the Darkside will be held on October 4th to October 26th on Fridays and Saturdays from 7 pm to 9:30 pm at the Connecticut Trolley Museum in Windsor. 

As the fall chill fills the air, on the darkest of nights, mournful cries of the abandoned dead are heard on the tracks at the Connecticut Trolley Museum. Come for a scare if you dare…the next trolley ride is an express to the Darkside!

Oct 4-Nov 2: Dark Manor Haunted House & Graveyard

The Dark Manor Haunted House and Graveyard will open from October 4th through November 2nd in Baltic. Step into The Manor and experience the ghastly entities that haunt its tormented halls. Many are driven mad by the terror lurking in every shadow; their desperate screams echoing endlessly down twisting corridors, heard only by the desolate Connecticut countryside.

Oct 4-27: Pumpkin Patch Trolley Windsor

The Pumpkin Patch Trolley is a family fun filled adventure where you ride on a trolley car out to the pumpkin patch field and each child can pick out a FREE pumpkin. Additionally, when you return back to the Museum you can decorate the pumpkins, play in the corn box, visit the Fire Truck Museum, enjoy the outside play area and the entire museum.
