Enclosed is a view of the 2026 events planned in the Wessex region, and key events from our neighbouring regions. Also signposted are some national events which may be of interest. Whilst not hosted by the GCCG, these events are normally well-attended by our members so make great opportunities to meet up with GCCG friends from other regions.

All event details are in the Events Calendar (Login Required) on the GCCG Website, but also remember to join the GCCG Wessex Community on WhatsApp to receive notifications of confirmed events and any last minute changes, or cancellations.

Upcoming Events

GCCG at the Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show

20-22 March 2026 - NEC Birmingham

The GCCG have a large stand at this years Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show in March. The event runs from Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd March 2026, at the NEC in Birmingham.

Use club code CCGYCCGM6 to receive a discount on advance tickets and remember to pop along to the GCCG stand to meet fellow members and see the work happening on their cars.

GCCG Annual General Meeting

Sunday 22 March 2026 - 2pm Haynes Motor Museum, Sparkford, Somerset BA22 7LH

The GCCG 2026 AGM will take place on Sunday, 22nd March 2026 at 2:00pm. The Committee looks forward to welcoming all members in person, or on Zoom.

The AGM is also an opportunity for members to ask questions and put forward suggestions about how we might develop the club in future.

If coming in person please register your attendance in advance. You will be able to gain free entry to the Haynes Museum, please state at reception that you are attending the GCCG AGM.

The South West region have also organised a number of supporting social events over the AGM weekend; visit the website to find out more info.

Breakfast Meet

Sunday 29 March 2026 - 10am Gateway Cafe GL7 5FP

Meet from 10am outside The Old Boathouse, next to the main café car park, to improve our chances of parking as a group. There is no group-booking in the cafe, so arrive promptly to avoid any queues.

Remember, the clocks spring forward to British Summer time so don't be late!

Rustival

Saturday 18 April 2026 - 10am British Motor Museum, Gaydon CV35 0BJ

GCCG members from Wessex and other regions will be making their own way to Rustival; an automotive show created by British YouTubers; Ian and Carly from HubNut, Matt from Furious Driving and Steph from idriveaclassic.

This year the GCCG plans to hold a stand at the show, so further details will be shared nearer the time if you wish to display your car.

All members from all regions are welcome to join the Wessex region for breakfast at the Gateway Cafe, near Cirencester.

Wessex Pub Meet Schedule

Organising Pub meets normally involves a table reservation, pre-orders and sometimes a deposit. Please RSVP as soon as possible and please avoid any last minute cancellations, as it impacts our relationship with the venues. Pub meets start from 7pm.

GCCG member Mike Cromie invites you to the Kingswood Classic Vehicle show on Saturday 11th July 2026.

There are usually around 150+ cars entered and there are classes for most types of car and motorcycle. To attend, please contact Mike at KingswoodClassic@gmail.com.

Festival of the Unexceptional

Saturday 25 July 2026 - Grimsthorpe Castle PE10 0LY

Whilst this isn't a GCCG event, a number of GCCG members from Wessex and other regions will be making their own way to Festival of the Unexceptional.

Wessex Waltz & BYO Picnic

The Wessex region will be hosting a bring-your-own picnic event. A change from the usual convoy drive, this event will instead have more of a social focus; to spend time with different club members and experience each others cars.

This event is fair-weather dependent and will be confirmed nearer the time.

GCCG at the Classic Motor Show

13-15 November 2026, NEC Birmingham

The GCCG have a stand at this years Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show. The event runs from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th November 2026, at the NEC in Birmingham.

Further details on the GCCG's discount code on advance tickets will be shared nearer the time. Remember to pop along to the GCCG stand to meet fellow members.
