NomadMania’s 5th Conference in Fergana, Uzbekistan is finished. This was our first event ever on such a scale and given the difficulties of organizing so many different moving parts, it is a true achievement that everything went as planned.

We will be composing a full day-to-day report about it later this month...

NomadMania Premium Package

Last week, we promised to update you about the Premium Package— and here we are, excited to share the news.

Until now, NomadMania has been primarily funded by our founder, Harry Mitsidis. But as we grow and aim to serve you even better, we must continue investing in technology and innovation to keep the platform running and evolving.

Over the past year, we’ve explored a range of eco-conscious monetisation efforts — from Certificates, Tours, and Trophies to various shop items. While these initiatives have contributed, they still don’t fully cover our operational costs — let alone move us toward sustainability.

So, after listening to many of you, we've decided to introduce a Premium Subscription.

What does this mean for you?

First and foremost: all existing features will remain 100% free — we’re committed to never take anything away from what you already enjoy.

However, to grow and develop new tools and features, we need additional support — and that’s where NomadMania Premium comes in.

The first Premium version includes:

  • Offline maps in the app

  • A Premium badge on your profile and ranking page

  • Access to an exclusive Premium Members Chat

We're inviting early adopters to become co-creators of the new NomadMania.

Our first major development? A Trip Planning Tool to help you align future travel plans with other members — so you’ll never have to hit the road alone (unless you want to!).

And that’s just the beginning. As an early subscriber, you’ll help shape what comes next.

Pricing for Early Adopters:

📍 7 EUR/month — locked in for life, even as more features are added.

We’re launching NomadMania Premium this month — stay tuned and thank you for being part of this journey!

An impossible record

Man has wanted to go to space for centuries – the mere possibility of it nowadays is for most of us an unobtainable dream. Not so for one of our most devoted travellers, who we had the joy to interview a few years ago.

Travelling solely on a Panamanian passport, lawyer and former ambassador to the United States Jaime Aleman completed all his world countries just in time before the covid pandemic took over – he arrived in Nauru in March 2020. He became the first Panamanian and the first person from Central America to become a UN Master.

Not content with that achievement, he then proceeded to visit both the South and the North Pole. Now, however, Jaime has really upped the bar for everybody.

On May 31st, he became the first person in the world that we know of to visit every country, both Poles AND space. As one of the crew of 6 people departing from the base of Blue Origin, he was taken into space for a truly amazing mission that only very few people have successfully accomplished.

This feat is the pinnacle of Jaime’s travels and we will be interviewing him for a second time for one of our next issues to hear all about his experience, his motivations and how he generally feels about space travel. We wonder what is next for this ground-breaking traveller!

North Sikkim + Nepal Far East Expedition

  • 🇮🇳 North Sikkim + 🇳🇵 Nepal East
  • 📅 03 Oct 2025 - 18 Oct 2025

Embark on an overland journey through the remote Himalayan frontiers of India and Nepal, combining three unique NomadMania DARE regions: Gorkhaland in West Bengal, Chungthang Subdivision of North Sikkim and the Taplejung District in Eastern Nepal.

This route takes you far from mainstream tourism, starting in Bagdogra and winding through the sacred Dzongu Valley, the alpine villages of Thangu and Yumthang, and finally into Darjeeling, the historic hill station of West Bengal.

Along the way, you will engage with indigenous Lepcha communities, cross high passes, and experience the landscapes and spiritual traditions that define this lesser-known side of the Himalayas.
