SSE for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals in Asia |
Laurence Kwark, former GSEF General Secretary, attended the ILO's regional workshop in Bangkok, as a member of the GSEF's Advisory Committee.
"The ILO and United Nations resolutions in 2022 and 2023 have made visible the alternative development model promoted by SSE, and give additional driving force to all nations already working towards this goal."
"Although the concept of SSE is not yet familiar to most Asian countries, the realities of SSE entities exist on the ground, and are working very actively to provide solutions to the concrete economic, social and environmental problems facing their communities."
Without national frameworks, local governments must play a key role in the development of the SSE!
