This is what we do....and what you could be doing too!

We explain what services you can run when you join our team and all the ways you can earn with Cook Stars.

There is a wealth of opportunity with Cook Stars, but the success of your franchise business will come down to you.  The more you out in, the more you'll get out.  It's quite simple really!

Although a franchise is a much easier route to starting a new business with a much higher success rate, you will still need to put the work in!

When you do this, you will be highly rewarded in terms of income, whilst enjoying yourself in the process!

As a Cook Stars franchisee, you will have an area/territory where you can exclusively run our services.

We have a variety of services that you can chose to run and can therefore benefit from multi-level income streams.

Minis, Juniors and Weekend Classes

At our Mini's, Juniors and Weekend Classes, the children receive all ingredients, equipment, craft activity, a snack, and a recipe card to take home.

These classes can be run face to face (class room style session) or online with children taking part at home.

You will receive 3 years worth of different term time recipes.  These alternate between sweet and savory weeks and are all very varied.  The recipes range from cakes, biscuits, breads, pasta and rice dishes, pies, puddings, lunches, dinners and treats.

No week is the same for 3 years - this is excellent for keeping our little customers engaged.  It also teaches them a range of skills and encourages them to explore a range of new foods.

For each recipe we have lots to help you!  For instance, a lesson plan with hints and tips, a shopping and equipment list as well as a tutorial videos which shows you how to make each dish.

All our recipes are carefully costed to the gram / ml.  We recommend a costed craft activity for each class too.  The children take part in a craft whilst their food is cooking.

These sessions are typically run within the local community (eg. a village hall, community centres etc).

In 2019 the average charge per Minis and Juniors class (across our team) was £9 per person.  This is paid by parents half termly in advance.  We typically host up to 14  children in these classes, but can take more at a mini's class.

All of these sessions can be run in a ‘class room’ style face to face or online-over Zoom.

At our online sessions we send our customers a shopping list and an equipment list to prepare for class and teach the children in an interactive session run on Zoom.

(Age 2 -5)

Mini's Classes

Classes for pre-school age children plus a guardian. These classes are typically run during the school day.

(Age 5 - 11)

Junior's Classes

Classes for primary school age children.

Parents are welcome to attend but this is not a requirement.

Many parents drop their children off and collect at the end.

These classes typically run after school.

(Age 2 -1`1)

Weekend Classes

Some of the team spilt their weekend classes into 'Minis' and 'Juniors' sessions, whilst others mix the age groups.  Under 5 year olds require a guardian to attend with them.

These classes are typically charged at £11 per person (payable half termly in advance).

Academy and Family Cook Along

(Age 11-17)
Academy Classes

Aimed at older children and teens.  These classes are the next step up and involve children cooking a huge range of full meals as well as puddings.

One week they might be making a coffee and walnut cake, and the next a curry from scratch along with home made naan or a beef pie with potatoes and vegetables.

These sessions typically run after school or on a weekend.  We run these face to face as well as online.

In 2019, our typical charge was £20 per child / per class  (paid half termly in advance) with up to 10 in a class (although you could have more under certain circumstances).

(Age 5-11)
Family Cook Along

These sessions as online sessions only.

These classes give younger children the opportunity to experience our Academy Classes from their own home.

Working together with a guardian the children make a huge range of dinners, puddings/cakes.  These classes are a great opportunity for younger children to step up and try some hob work and more advanced techniques, whilst enjoying time together with their parent/guardian.

An online class is typically charged at £8.50 per class (payable in advance per half term).

All of our in person classes shown above can also be live streamed to children who may not be able to attend a particular class (eg. if they are well but self isolating).

Schools

Many of our team run sessions at public and private schools.  These sessions are always popular as they are easily accessible to children.

There is great opportunity to run after school classes, support specific school projects and also work with schools who receive funding.

Organisations and Charities

As you put the word out there about what you do, it is typical that you will get approached to run all sorts of different events!

Here are some of the projects we have been involved with. Some of these are one off and some are repeat sessions.

The fee you will charge for these varies but often they are bespoke projects and our team typically charge between £135-£500 per session.
Here is a section from our Discovery Event brochure about these sessions.

You can our sell starter packs to your customers as well as our range of cookie bags at your classes and at events within your area.

I hope this helps give a good overview of what you can offer customers and what you can charge.  All our prices are adjustable to ensure they work within your area but I hope this gives you a guide at this stage.
