After our short coffee break, Prof. Suraj Chaudhary, from the College of Wooster, will lead a group discussion. The Way of the Bodhisattva by Shantideva will be the focus of his presentation.

Sunday, July 17 OBON Service & OBON FESTIVAL - Noon in the Garden

Submit names for Obon service:

• If a loved one or friend passed away since our last Obon in July 2021 and you would like to express gratitude for their life and its meaning to you, please provide their name.
• They do not have to be Buddhists. We will not use their name in any other way than simply remember them during our solemn Obon service in the morning.
• It is customary to offer Dana (donation) at the service.
  This Dana may be made to any charity of your choice, or to the Cleveland Buddhist Temple
• If to the CBT, it may be anonymously in cash or with a check made out to Midwest Buddhist Temple (for a 501c3 donation).
• The amount is totally up to you.
  

What does not happen at a Shin Buddhist Service?

We do not worship, we do not have petitionary prayer, nor do we have rules or regulations to judge us from one from another.
