Thanks so much for expressing an interest in my 'Paint Your Way' Workshops.
There is a reason I named my workshops 'Paint Your Way'. It's because I want share what I have learned through my passion, and some would say obsession with art, so we can all further develop our own, uniquely creative style.
It takes time and practice to paint in our 'own way', but it's my intention that my workshops give you as many tools as possible, for you to create paintings that you love and will proudly hang on your wall.
For me, creating expressive landscape paintings involves clear stages of exploration, iteration and editing. Don't get me wrong, it's rarely a direct line from inspiration to completion, the creative path is almost always a winding one!
However the process of abstraction relies as much on the early stages of exploration in for example, mark making, colour mixing and creating texture, as it does on the later stages of layering, composition and finishing.
It is for this reason that I have developed two distinct workshops, which follow on from each other but can also be taken individually.
