Dear Friends,

Chris & Lisa Cree ordained by Andrew Wommack

This summer is flying by! Lisa and I are back home in Scotland. We jumped right into preparations for the upcoming school year with the Bible college. We’re planning lessons, expanding the space in our facility to accommodate more students, and conducting interviews with the applicants for the coming year.

Our time in Colorado was packed full of conferences, meetings, speaking opportunities, and time with friends and ministry partners. Here’s a partial list of some things we did during our stay in America.

  • Attended the Charis Business Summit
  • Held a NewCREEations board meeting
  • Moved our worldly goods to new storage
  • Changed the legal address for NewCREEations
  • Attended the Charis Directors meetings
  • Met with many of our NewCREEations ministry partners
  • Attended the Summer Family Bible Conference
  • Shared at Charis Family Church
  • Shared at River Rock Church
  • Taught at Dawn of Hope Ranch
  • Had a wee getaway in Steamboat Springs

Even though it was a very busy five weeks, we managed to take three days away for some much needed down time with friends.

Speaking at Churches

Speaking at Charis Family Church

Lisa and I had multiple opportunities to speak at some of the churches that support our work here in Scotland. It was a chance for us to share with our partners the many things God has done through the ministry here in Scotland.

Towards the beginning of our time in the States we spoke at Charis Family Church, which was our home church for the five years we were in Colorado. Then we were asked to do some teaching at Dawn of Hope Ranch, which is a fabulous place to stay if you are ever in the Woodland Park area of Colorado.

Then towards the end of our stay we were blessed to share at River Rock Church. They had a missions Sunday and we were there with another of our Charis classmates, Cindy Pearson, who is the director of the Charis location in Hong Kong. Please keep the work there in your prayers as they are experiencing a great deal of political unrest.

Everywhere we went, folks were interested in the Rejecting Mammon book we just published. We sold a few copies and gave away even more. (The book is getting good reviews on Amazon too!)

Ordained by Andrew Wommack

Charis Directors Meeting

The main reason we go back to Colorado each summer is to attend the Charis directors meeting. The directors of all the Charis and AWM offices around the world come in for a few days of meetings.

On the Friday of that meeting, Lisa and I were officially ordained into the ministry by Andrew Wommack for the work in Scotland. It was a powerful time with significant words spoken over both of us by Andrew and the senior Charis staff.

We had an extra day of meetings with just the European staff and leaders too. All in all it was a good time to get to know some of the folks we’ve only met briefly in years past.

Connecting with Friends

Ministry Friends

Lisa and I are blessed that so many of our ministry partners are also good friends. It was a treat to be able to connect with so many folks who partner with NewCREEations throughout the year. There’s something to be said for a good meal with friends and the opportunity to share in person the good things God is doing.

More Ministry Friends

We truly value the opportunity to connect with so many people in person. Even so by the end, Lisa and I were very ready to return to Scotland. Five weeks is a long time to be away from home living out of suitcases.

We want to say a huge THANK YOU TO ALL who housed us, gave to us, and made our stay truly amazing.

Looking Ahead

We hit the ground running when we arrived home in Scotland. At the end of July we hosted an open day event at the Bible College facility in Dumfries that was live streamed via video from Colorado.
We also hosted a multi-church prayer meeting at the school at the beginning of this month. We were pleased to be able to offer up our wonderful facility to support believers in our local community.

Now we are busy processing applications and interviewing incoming students for the new school year starting next month. We will have third year students in the Bible college for the first time and we are very excited about it. Half of our graduates from last year are returning for third year, along with a couple of graduates from other Charis locations here in the UK.

Next week we will hold our annual Summer Gathering event which brings together our Charis Dumfries alumni, our current students, along with prospective students. It will be a day of fellowship, worship, teaching, and ministry.

And then we kick off the new school year on September 7th with a special public event where Pastor Duane Sheriff will be our speaker.

Later in September, Lisa and I will head back to Finland with Andrew and Jasmine Sharp, who work along side us in the Bible College, to do some teaching specifically for the local church there.

Please pray that God continues to bring new students into Charis Dumfries. God told us we need to believe for more students because the time is short and He wants to train up more leaders faster. Please stand with us in believing for that. The words God said to Lisa are, “Let’s go big!”

We are also praying for favor with the government officials as we draw near the time to renew our work visas here in the UK. It’s pretty amazing to us that we have been in Scotland almost three years already. Our desire is to renew our visas for the maximum we can, which is three more years. We are praying that everything goes smoothly for us with that and that we continue to have favor here in Scotland.

Lisa and I pray that your summer is going wonderfully well too. May you prosper in everything you do.

Abundant Blessings,

Chris & Lisa Cree

P.S. We will be taking a trip to Finland this September with two members of our staff to teach in a church we took our student mission team to this past spring. This church is pastored by two of our Charis classmates. If you have a heart for the nations and for building up the local church this is amazing ground to sow into. Please prayerfully consider sowing into this ministry to Finland. NewCREEations will cover the cost for all four of us to go, and we expect the trip expenses will be about $2000.00. We covet your prayers for this teaching trip too. Thank you!
