At NomadMania, our mission has always been to bring travellers together from every corner of the world. Today, our community includes over 50,000 members — roughly the population of a mid-sized city.

And like any thriving community, this one requires care, coordination, and human connection. That’s why a few years ago we launched the NomadMania Envoy Programme — an initiative designed to empower passionate travellers to act as ambassadors for NomadMania, either within a specific region or globally. We currently offer two complementary roles:

• Envoys — members with a home base who officially represent NomadMania in their country or region.

• Messengers — travellers and nomads at heart, constantly on the move, representing NomadMania globally regardless of location.

Both roles are equally important and together form the backbone of our community presence worldwide.

As part of a natural and healthy rotation of representatives, we’re excited to announce the relaunch of the Envoy Programme. The updated structure comes with a range of benefits for those who join — and, naturally, with a set of responsibilities to ensure meaningful engagement.

A Reluctant Traveller Turned Globetrotter

We’re grateful that Horace Tong agreed to share an honest look into his life of travel with us. In this intimate conversation, he opens up about the moments that shaped him, the fears and privileges he had to confront, and how visiting every country influenced far more than his passport. 

He once believed travel wasn’t worth the effort, let alone the money. What followed instead was a life shaped by unexpected moments, difficult borders, unlikely encounters, and experiences that challenged how he saw the world and himself.

A Glimpse Behind The Scenes

Below is a photo of our regular NomadMania team meeting. Look closely at the girl on the left. That’s Vika, our mobile developer from Kyiv, Ukraine. She’s wrapped in several layers of blankets because it’s freezing inside her apartment. Despite that, she’s smiling, focused, and fully present at work.

Vika is one of three million residents of Kyiv currently struggling with constant power outages caused by massive Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. 

We’re not sharing this to ask for sympathy. We’re sharing it to give you a glimpse behind the scenes of how a world-class travel tech product is being run — and to show our commitment to the NomadMania community, no matter the circumstances.
