3 Valley Vegans Newsletter
Covers of new vegan books
Just how many vegan cookery books? Welcome to the 3 Valley Vegans Newsletter for June 2018

Every time I visit a book shop these days, I'm impressed with the increasingly popular and diverse range of cooking and lifestyle books that feature a vegan diet. A quick search on Waterstones website returns nearly a thousand! The image above shows the covers of the latest ones.

Moving on, this month's newsletter tells you about three events in West Yorkshire this month, and how to find out what is happening further afield. And after you've read it, try out some of the Vegan Society's 8 best BBQ recipes.

Quick review of our healthy eating on a budget cookery demo

On Monday, 21st May we hosted a cookery demo at St Mary's Crypt, Todmorden. Here is an excerpt of the review by Phil D.

"The cookery demo had a variety of interesting dishes being prepared by Hillary, Kim, Rob and Sandy with each of them sharing their own insights into how to eat healthy while not spending a fortune...

"With a welcoming and inclusive vibe, audience participation through sharing recipe tips and a great debate on how exactly do you pronounce “tabbouleh”, this evening was fun and informative and I look forward to the next event."
