How is it Friday again already?! This week we've had some gorgeous weather so I've been spending some time with the windows open (in that blessed short time after the thaw but before the pollen🤧), fervently doing some deep spring cleaning and organizing.
I've also been doing a bit of "spring cleaning" on my website, as it's been intermittently up and down this past week, so I haven't had as much time to work on content on the front end, BUT I do have some gorgeous additions to the Corset Dress Gallery and a beautiful new mesh & lace colorway in the shop for your viewing pleasure!
What does your spring cleaning regimen usually entail? Feel free to hit "reply" as I'm currently all in "The Home Edit" rabbithole and very open to ideas!
Searching “corset dresses” on Google tends to yield poor results because many clothing lines simply offer dresses with plastic boned bodices. Genuine corset dresses are not always easy to find, but my VA and I have done our best to scour social media and the web for the most stunning examples.
Shown here is an example from Innova Corsetry (modeled by Aleyda Ortiz). It's a feat in itself: a mesh corset, cupped overbust, and floor length gown all in one piece!
(Also, I bought this dress and will be reviewing it this year!)
In this weeks video, I'm comparing two different corset from Dracula Clothing. I go into a lot of detail about the fit and measurement, comparing them, and discussing my expectations about the shoulder/back support.
So.... it's with a heaping serving of ambivalence that I announce that this week the Ebay platform has been positively scoured for new listings, and there's nothing super notable.
I'm happy because bunches of you have messaged me to thank me for the gallery, for the Patreon tutorial on hunting for Ebay corsets, and to let me know that you've scored some sweet pre-loved corsets! That's the point!
But I'm sad because I've seen that some folks have been sniping the cheaper Ebay corsets and selling them for higher prices on FB marketplace and Poshmark... however, I'm continuing to keep this page updated, and some of the older listed corsets have changed their prices so they might be worth a second look.
