Then shortly after I found some materials given to me from the artist next door with a sweet note, and I have been trading notes with this artist since.
I recently found an envelope on my desk with mystery collage materials inside, left by a local collage artist who came upon my studio.
All of these encounters are so life-giving and encouraging. I also feel some guilt for not loving the space and taking full advantage of it, whatever that means. I'm very thankful for these little reminders of connection, and I know I want to keep it going. I’ll be both relieved and sad to leave this space. It can be hard for me to find connection out in the world with my social anxiety and introversion, so it helps to be planted somewhere where it naturally occurs. I wonder what the next one will be!
