Do you remember what book initially piqued your interest in reading? Honestly, it was so long ago, I genuinely don't remember what book came first. However, a fun story from the early days of my bookish obsession: I grew up in a Stephen King lovin' household, and at the end of sixth grade, my school held a week-long "read in" where everyone came to school in PJs with blankets and pillows and we just READ for a week. On day one, I got sent to the principal's office because I brought SK's The Stand as my reading material. When the office admin called my mom to tell her what I'd brought for a book, her response was, "And where do you think she got it?" π€£π€£π€£ They let me go back to class. By the end of the week, I'd only made it about 600 pages into the book but I finished it the following week and have been a fan ever since.

Whatβs one book you feel is deeply underrated? And why do you love it so much? UGH! That's easy. The Reliquary series by Sarah Fine. But be warned: the covers are completely wrong for the series (publisher's doing, not the author's). They don't look anything like the atmosphere tucked in the pages. Hear me out. Dark urban fantasy romance where magic is trafficked like a drug in a mafia-style supernatural underworld. There are different kinds of magic, different kinds of users (some of whom are f**king terrifying). and lots of spicy romance thrown in for good measure. The author left the third book off on a massive cliffhanger and it doesn't look like she's going to write Prism, the fourth and final book in the series. It hasn't stopped me from re-listening to the audiobooks a whole bunch of times, though. The series is that good. My hope is that if I tell enough people about the series, she'll see the interest and come back to finish it. Crossables crossed.

Do you listen to music when you read? If so, do you have a playlist? I do listen to music but I don't have a reading playlist. I tend to listen to instrumental albums when reading, my favorites being the score to the first Harry Potter movie and the soundtrack for the movie Chocolat.

If you could go to any place youβve read about in a book (real or imagined), where would you go? WESTEROS! But only if I knew everything I know as a reader. Could you imagine going in blind?? Omg, I'd be dead in three minutes. I have noodly arms. Oh! I would also need to know how to ride a horse and/or dragon. At this time, I've never done either.

What book are you currently reading? Doing a re-listen of the Fourth Wing audiobook to prepare for the release of Iron Flame next month. It really is as good as all the hype.
