Aasraa Signs MOUs with the Government!

We signed our 1st MOU with the Uttarakhand Education Department recognizing us as Non Residential Special Training Centres (NRST) under Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan. 

A month later, we signed our 2nd MOU with the Uttarakhand Education Department allowing us to build a girls shelter home on the grounds of Girls Government Inter College, Kaulagarh!

Aasraa's New Foray into Rural Uttarakhand!

Our second Mobile Computer Lab is ready to be launched in rural Uttarakhand. The project will benefit over 450 children in Dumet village of Dehradun district. 

Formal Intervention at Government Schools

Aasraa is delighted to partner with government schools to provide quality education to marginalized children. Here is a quick glimpse of our first formal intervention at Government Primary School Chukkhuwala, Clock Tower. 

Skills Training at Aasraa

Aasraa is accredited by National Institute of Open Schooling to conduct Data Entry courses. We will soon be certified to run formal Sewing and Carpentry courses at our centres! 

400 Tarpualin Sheets were distributed in slums

Monsoon rains created havoc in riverbed slum communities. With generous support of our donors, we provided 400 tarpaulin sheets to protect the slum houses from water damage.
