Musings from my Writing Cave

September was a whirlwind! I am honestly not sure where this month has gone! By the time I finally got caught up with the things I had let fall behind in August, it was already October! I may not feel like I have accomplished much, but I am one step closer to a re-launch on my series, so I know I have. I can't wait to share the new look with you, my designer has done a fabulous job pulling the covers together into one cohesive look!

I was able to get a little writing done at my annual writer's retreat, which made me ecstatically happy. I am currently pitching the series I worked on, so I spent a lot of time getting re-acquainted with my characters. I was delighted to find that I am still in love with them as much now, as I was when I wrote them. It will still be some time before I can share anything on this particular project, since I decided I want to have at least three books in the series before I hit publish. One way or another, I hope to have these out by early 2022.

I also managed a quick girls trip to some parts of upper Michigan, and managed some great shots while we were there. I am fortunate to live in such a beautiful state, and I am glad I was able to get out and see some sites while still staying pretty close to home. Nothing newsworthy happened, since what happens in upper Michigan, stays there... but I will say that I had a blast, which is always a given considering the company. Let's just say, Traverse City may never be the same.

Last, but not least, my novelette "A Love For All Seasons" is out and you can download your copy which includes a number of other romance shorts that you are sure to love. You can find the link below, and I am excited to see what you think! You can send me your comments, updates or pictures from your part of the world to my email anytime!

Happy Reading! XO

The Botanic Garden at Historic Barns Park

This is on the grounds of the Traverse City State Hospital which has been remodeled into shops, restaurants and living spaces. We found the Hippie Tree not far from here as well.

Rove Estate Winery

This was an amazing stop on our way to the Sleeping Bear Dunes. Hiking after a flight of white wine was interesting to say the least. :)

Here's the Blurb to my story "A Love For All Seasons":

The seasons aren’t cooperating, and Hecate’s rosemary supply is dwindling. She needs a solution for growing her crops or her spells just won’t be the same. Hermes is willing to help but it comes with a price, the least of which is the two of them dabbling in the love life of Hades, the god of the Underworld.

In addition to setting Hades up on a blind date, Hermes demands Hecate spend 24-hours alone with him. That isn’t what concerns her the most, since she has added stipulations of her own. But the trickster has made it clear that he won’t settle for anything less than her heart. Is Hecate ready to pay the price?

Coming up....
AKA: What else have I gotten myself into?

Sea of Dreams is in my Editor's hands, and I am anxious to see what she thinks about the changes. I have slimmed it down quite a bit, and feel that the writing better reflects where I am at on my writing journey. For any of you who have read the first version, I would be interested to know what you think of the latest revision. With the relaunch, I will be needing reviews for all of my books, so stay tuned!

I am back into my Paranormal Cozy Mystery series, just through the end of the year. My intent is to work on Book 2 during NaNoWriMo 2020, while tightening up Book 1 for querying. I have some writing planned in early 2021 for a new book that I hope to have out late next year. My only hint is that it is something witchy :)

I hope that you are all venturing out a bit and getting some fresh air. It is fall in my part of the world, and while I love this time of year, I am not looking forward to what follows. In the meantime... s tay healthy, safe, and happy reading everyone! XO
