Over twelve weeks now since we were forced to close Bartellas, but still waiting on a definitive answer as to when we will be permitted to reopen.
Meanwhile our loyal Club Bartellas members and a whole new host of weekly regulars have helped keep our spirits up through your use of the takeaway service. This has been very much appreciated by us all - thank you - so much so that we will continue with that popular option seven days a week once we reopen.
Latest Government advice has encouraged a 'careful phasing and piloting of reopening to test the ability to adapt to the new Covid 19 Secure guidelines' so that’s where you good people can play an even greater part in getting Bartellas back open please.
Week beginning 15th June we will be bringing some of our key staff back to the restaurant for yet more thorough cleaning and adapting of the entire place, along with essential training tutorials.
From 22nd June, weather permitting, we will be undertaking 'dress rehearsals' at lunchtimes; all suitably socially spaced al fresco under the sails on the south-facing terrace.
Finally, during the week commencing 29th June, we will be trialling a full service. By Saturday 4th July we will be very much up to speed and safe for our customers and staff with a reassuring two metre spacing (not one) between the tables, restoring some stability and common sense to what will have been an insane four months out there.
If you would like to make a booking, maximum of four to a table, please email or call me with your preferred date and I’ll confirm by return. The new menu and prices will be on the website this week. We greatly look forward to welcoming you back, though sadly our usual standard of salutation will still need to be somewhat sanitised!
