Towards DIAMOND’s goal of updating, upgrading, and fully opening six integrated assessment models (IAMs), we are happy to report on our relevant stakeholder engagement activities of the past few months.
Our aim has been two-fold: first, to ensure models are co-developed, by informing our model development strategy based on stakeholder insights; and, second, to pave the way towards co-creation of scenario exercises and model co-use based on the diverse societal priorities.
To this end, the DIAMOND project team has successfully organised the first two stakeholder engagement workshops, tasked with co-defining the requirements for IAM improvements to best respond to stakeholders’ most pertinent concerns and with co-creating the basis of our qualitative scenarios of incremental vs. transformative change. Both workshops featured interactive sessions aiming to elicit views and ideas (under Chatham House rules), inter alia by means of boards, polls, and other elicitation channels to ensure all voices are being heard.
