We Want Your Feedback
The Port of Olympia is seeking feedback on its Swantown Marine Fueling station to constantly improve and provide our customers with the best possible service.
The survey is anonymous, but if you wish to share your contact information two winners will be drawn at the close of the survey. Each winner will receive a $100 Visa gift card. The survey closes on September 10, 2021, at 11:59 p.m.
Keeping a vessel clean is critical in protecting its value. But, unlike a car, there aren’t many places where a boat can reasonably be washed (like a carwash) and soaps, dirt, and exhaust can be captured and filtered to prevent discharge to local waters.
Rinse your boats often with fresh water and spot clean with non-toxic alternatives to common products.
Make sure to use ”Safer Choice” products, approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Remember that the discharge of soaps and other pollutants to water is illegal.
Deep cleaning activities should be performed at a permitted boatyard.

We were pleased to welcome a fleet of small boats at our launch ramp late last week. The fleet, including a variety of smaller production sailboats and dozens of home-built sailing and rowing boats, launched their boats at Swantown Marina as they began the Salish 100.
Osprey Boatworks is an Olympia-based business focusing on yard services. They specialize in major structural fiberglass repair, shaft and prop work, and bottom painting. Osprey Boatworks has operated in the area for the last seven years. Prior to this, Osprey owner Hans managed Pettit Marine for almost 10 years.
