VINES is now accepting community member proposals for 2019 Community Garden Builds

Interested in bringing a community garden to your neighborhood?

Selected garden proposals will receive financial and technical assistance from VINES.

What: Volunteers Improving Neighborhood Environments (VINES) is hosting a Community Garden Proposal Workshop in which local residents will learn how to submit a community garden proposal to bring a community garden to their neighborhood. This workshop is free and open to any resident that is interested in applying to the organization for technical and financial assistance to support them in creating a garden in their neighborhood. The workshop is a mandatory step in submitting a proposal, which are due March 15, 2019.

VINES’ newest gardens on Davis Avenue in Endwell and Abbott Street on the East Side of Binghamton were made possible through community member garden proposals submitted in Spring 2018.

Those interested in attending must register at www.vinesgardens.org or by calling 607-205-8108. Interested parties that cannot make the date can contact info@vinesgardens.org to schedule a make-up date.

When: Thursday, November 15th, 2018 from 5:30-7:30pm
