Hey Mori crew,

Hope you are doing well! We’re doing good. 

The return from holidays was a bit chaotic and it took some time to adjust. We had worked a lot on an update on our SP3000 scanner that crashed just 2 days in and caused us a lot of delay but luckily that’s now pretty much fixed. 😮‍💨

For the rest, everything is running pretty smoothly. Even if the weather slowed things down we’re still receiving a constant flow of film with a big part coming in through our dropboxes spread around the country.

Focus is now set on lab efficiency and of course getting cameras ready for the Christmas season! It may seem early but given cameras take weeks (sometimes months) to pass our required tests it's better to start early to offer you the best selection possible!

So what’s next? We have heaps of darkroom courses planned, a new exhibition being announced soon and a photowalk coming at the end of this month! More on all this lower in this newsletter. 😉

« I captured this portrait of my best friend having a rest near a Mallorcan beach last summer. It was one of the first rolls of kodak gold 200 I shot with my contax g1, which I bought from a seller in Italy a couple of weeks before. Photographing intimate scenes of my friends in their surroundings is how I got into photography more than 10 years ago, and it's still what I find most exciting about it. Capturing small gestures with an analog camera makes me more aware of the moment, the light and the colours around me while adding this nostalgic and recognisable feel to the scene. »

When we first opened our shop in 2020, we brought the last batch of IRO 400 ever produced back to Belgium. Now almost 3 years later FilmNeverDie has brought back IRO 400 in 39 exp. rolls and we couldn’t be happier! If you haven’t tried it yet, you really should! 😉

Last month we told you about the entrepreneur awards we were nominated for. Well, out of over 1100 project and 25 nominees we won the Next Generation Impact award. We couldn’t be prouder of this and only have you to thank for it!

We're not kidding most of the classes we have announced are already almost sold out. If something peaks your interest, don’t wait too long. 😉
