As soon as the plan was announced, “woke” leftists and Democrats from around the country launched an all out campaign to stop the project. Their hate campaign was filled with lies. They falsely claimed the pipeline would start forest fires and poison drinking water even though none of this was scientifically possible. Facebook and Twitter "factcheckers" did nothing. State Democrat politicians repeated these lies. Although local Republican officials spoke out in favor of the project, state and national Republican "leaders" refused to publicly challenge the fake "woke" narrative and said and did nothing publicly to refute the lies.
