Cyclists debate |
|
ROAD or SIDEWALK? Where do Bicycles, Scooters and Unicycles belong? During the debates organized by the Alianța Biciclete Chișinău (Chisinau Bicycle Alliance) on October 18, we put under the spotlight the question: where is the right place for alternative transport at the current moment of Chisinau's development - on the road side, together with cars, or on the sidewalk, among pedestrians? The debate has clearly shown that, although both spaces have strong arguments in favor of bicycles and scooters, a balanced infrastructure is needed, able to ensure the safety and efficiency of all traffic participants. You can watch the debate live here and the main conclusions and arguments here. |
