For the next seven days, thousands of people across the UK and the world will be sharing and listening to the voices of people who have had to leave everything and start again - and asking how we can walk together towards a world where all of us are welcomed, and all of us are safe.
You can take part by joining one of the over 400 events that have been organised by groups and organisations across the UK, or doing one of eight Simple Acts, such as reading a book, starting a conversation or watching a film from the Moving Worlds programme.
Help us spread the word by inviting someone new to join you, or by sharing our new short video featuring the Refugee Week 2021 Ambassadors.
Finally, the photo above is of pilot and UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador Maya Ghazal, photographed by acclaimed photographer Misan Harriman for the Refugee Week 2021 series, ‘We Cannot Walk Alone’. The stunning portraits are of eight artistic and cultural figures sharing a collective call for us to walk together, and we're thrilled to be launching them today. You can see them in today’s Guardian, at the V&A
and on our social media channels.
Whether you’ve been part of Refugee Week for years or are have never been involved before, we hope you’ll join us for Refugee Week 2021.
We cannot walk alone.
