CORRECTION to the Below statement:
Dear Members,
The Unit 1 Bargaining Team and the employer have reached a tentative collective agreement..
Your Bargaining Team will prepare a copy of the settlement for distribution to all union members. In the coming days, you will receive a complete copy of all articles that have been agreed to, as well as a summary of proposed changes.
Your Bargaining Team will also hold an online meeting to present the tentative settlement and answer any questions TAs, RAs, SAs might have. Details on this meeting will be distributed soon.
What Happens Now?
Unit 1 Members will return to work on Monday, April 10th.
While a tentative settlement has been reached, it is not binding on either the Employer or the Union until it is ratified by both parties.
All CUPE 4600 Unit 1 members will have the chance to discuss and examine the tentative settlement before voting to ratify or reject it. Your Bargaining Team will be recommending that TAs, RAs, SAs vote to ratify the settlement, but the final say rests with the membership of Unit 1.
The Union will organize an online ratification vote, to be held within the next few weeks. We will provide details as soon as they are available.
If you have any questions or require further information, please contact us at info@cupe4600.ca.
In Solidarity, The Bargaining Team
