How's your winter going? We had some excitement with a hailstorm last week in L.A. But, what we're really excited to tell you is now you can watch our film, Far East Deep South, through public libraries. You can stream it free through Kanopy with a library card.
We're also grateful for Memphis Public Libraries (Baldwin is pictured above at their Central Library branch ) and others who have added the DVD to their collection for people to borrow.
Does your local library have our DVD? If not, ask them to get a copy. Scroll down for more on this, how to watch on Kanopy and to see a sampling of libraries that are now carrying our DVD.
A reminder that AAPI Heritage Month is not too far away so if you know of a group that would like to book us to speak and/or do a film screening, you can email us or learn more here . Also, check out our new episode of our podcast where we discuss the Olympics and Chinese American identity.
Thanks for your support as always and we'll have some cool film festival announcements coming soon.
Did you know libraries take requests from their "customers"? If your library has DVDs, send an email or talk to the librarian. Tell them how it can help diversify their collection. They can get a copy through our distributor, New Day Films.
Find our DVD at libraries in Queens, Orange County, Bolivar County, Topeka & Shawnee, Pasadena, Belmont, Pima County, Yolo County and more.
The First Class Initiative offers educators an opportunity to screen our film in their classroom for free. If you know teachers who should show our film, have them apply through the "Apply to 1st Class" button below.
If you'd like to help us fund more school screenings, please consider partnering with us by making a tax-deduction donation to our First Class Initiative or our ongoing education outreach efforts.
