Good morning ,

Last month, we kicked off the Together We series, in partnership with SheaMoisture, by learning how we can use different tech tools to build our beauty businesses. This month, our focus is on growing a community of women who are invested in each other's growth.

So here's my question: Are you your sister's keeper?

Do you recognize the value you bring to the table and look for ways to pass that on? You possess a skill or have passed through an experience that another girl would love to learn from. Own that. Be proud of that.

That is why the next topic in our series is Together We Mentor. Not everytime "I need a mentor to help me." Sometimes, "how can I support the next person."

Keep reading to learn how SheaMoisture supports boss women like you and how you can do the same!

Together We Mentor

SheaMoisture helps connect our community!

You might be thinking, "it's hard enough to find a mentor, how am I going to find a mentee!?"

SheaMoisure recognizes the need for more opportunities for women to connect to form these relationships. That's why events like #SheaontheBeach are so important. They bring like minds together to build a community.

Keep reading to learn how one woman is able to build her community through mentorship programs that support youth education.

Oreoluwa in the field

"Often, we feel that mentors need only to download their own experiences and encourage their mentees to replicate this in their own lives. And then we get offended when they decide to seek an alternative.

No, no! Good mentoring is sharing experiences, providing a sounding board and encouraging your mentees to use what you have given them to forge their own trail."

"Mentors are there to help their mentees find their own path - with emphasis on their own path."
Are you up for the challenge?
Now it's your turn to step up as a mentor!
