Hey Beautiful Friends,
My California blood is still trying to thaw in this cold snap and I hope you had a warm and cozy weekend. I’ve been bored lately. In a good way, actually in an “I’m choosing to create more space in my days to feel bored” way. But, I love to achieve and check things off, multitask, and feel productive, so this isn’t an easy feeling for me to sit in.
The Lord has been obvious in His prodding me to fight the noise in my life. My noise (my love for rewatching TV shows, music, listening and reading more than one book at a time, my social media intake) is my comfort. But my noise is also how I become so easily overstimulated and it only adds to the actual noise in my home each day. So, this year I’m trying to trust that a little more silence and boredom will actually bring the comfort I want to receive through noise.
Connection in February Sunday Morning Study:
Last year, I read and devoured “The Gift of Limitations” by Sara Hagerty. So during each of the four Sundays in February, I’ll be bringing an excerpt from the book along with tools to walk through Psalm 16 together. Join me in Room 108 during first service starting on February 2nd!
- Week 1: Seeing Our Limits
- Week 2: Surrendering Our Stories
- Week 3: Living Within Our Limits
- Week 4: Stepping Into God’s Limitlessness
February Connection
