Make room for ‘shrooms! The 2022 Mushroom Festival will be bigger and better and back on State Street in the heart of Kennett Square, on September 10th and 11th!

“We’re thrilled to be back on State Street, to showcase not only mushrooms but also the community that helped make Kennett Square the Mushroom Capital of the World,” says Gina Puoci, President, Mushroom Festival Board.

This year's Festival will feature the favorites you’ve come to love from past Festivals and some new surprises as well! Food, family fun, kids events, music, cooking demos, vendors, an antique car show, a 'Chopped’-style cooking competition, mushroom eating and photo contest . . . 

The fantastic summer season of Third Thursdays continues this week on Thursday, August 18th! In addition to on-street dining at your favorite State Street restaurants, there will be pizza from Mezzaluna Wood Fired Pizza, snacks and ice cream from La Bamba, and wine from Casa Carmen Wines and Wayvine Winery and Vineyard.
Get to know our featured local nonprofit, Tree Tops Kitty Cafe, and enjoy shopping with vendors including Paiya, Short Sweet Saucy, Dough Sweet, and Gringa's Paradise.
And the kids will love balloon twisting and face painting!

Program highlight: Join us the last Friday of each month from May through September at 4pm at the KSQ Farmers Market to celebrate trees! Each month we're learning something new and exciting about trees and their importance. This series was inspired by the Longwood Gardens Community Read The Songs of Trees by David George Haskell. Mark your calendar for the next talk, on orchard trees, on August 26th.
