Wayne Insurance Group Deeply Rooted in the Community and to Those They Serve

Since its inception, this local insurer has been dedicated to providing reliable insurance services while remaining deeply connected to the people it serves. With a claims motto of “ we need to be the best part of a bad event,” Wayne Insurance Group not only offers protection, but a personal touch that only comes with years of dedication.

Founded in 1910 as Wayne Insurance Association, a group of Wayne County farmers came together wanting to make sure their homes and barns were insured against loss. In 1963, the company reorganized into an advanced premium mutual and the name officially changed to Wayne Mutual Insurance Company.

Originally located on Market Street in downtown Wooster, Wayne Mutual Insurance Company moved to its current Cleveland Road location in the 1970’s and writes property and casualty insurance for autos, homes, farms and businesses.
