Hi ,
It's the day after the day after the night before! If you're like me, you probably woke up gutted yesterday thinking what might have been for England. A good day yesterday though means I'm feeling much more positive today, especially knowing a summer of events is just around the corner.
The final step of lockdown restrictions will ease up from Monday. Unfortunately (and I don't mean to get political here) it looks like the government have left it up to us to manage this next wave of covid. Don't get me wrong, it will be amazing to have things back to normal, but we'll still have to be careful.
One way to help you and others is, of course, to get fully vaccinated if you can. Pop up vaccination clinics are in Hull now (link at the bottom) and I've heard that you can walk into Hull City Hall if you haven't had your first dose yet - so no appointment or waiting. Good hey? Anyway, I'd strongly encourage it.
If you're ready to get out and about, then this is the newsletter for you. We've got picturesque walks, tech-assisted heritage trails and afternoon teas! Plus news about gigs and just generally what's going on around Hull right now.
If you have any feedback for me, it's always welcome. Sometimes I see people unsubscribe and it's not clear why. If it's not for you any more, please pop a few words into the survey for me first, just to explain why as it'd be very helpful. We just want to provide a great service to Hullensians of every kind.
I hope you enjoy this week's newsletter.
Don't forget, we have plenty of news stories every day now so if you'd like to keep up with it, our new Daily Dose brings you the latest stories every evening by email. Just go to your subscription settings and tick 'Daily Dose of Hull News', then 'Save Changes'.
Have a great week!
